Flash Fiction from Round 4!

In my twenties I thought I had the most wonderful boyfriend. We were perfect together and I thought we had a future.

But I was so naive. Through me he was trying to get to my more beautiful sister.

I had to be rid of him and I knew exactly what I had to do. It was so easy. He was so naive.

-Carrie

I see the way men look at you and it scares me. You are my daughter, my beautiful young daughter. I hope is that you are not so naïve that you allow these perverts to turn your head and take advantage of you. Remember those deep conversation about loving yourself, protecting yourself, and discovering what is important to you in relationships. I pray that you listened and learned and didn’t shut me about because I am your mother – and just an old fogey.
